Women On Mission Ministry

The goal of Women on Mission is to inform and inspire the Christian Baptist woman to influence her  world for Christ.

At First Baptist Church there are two Women on Mission groups. “Baptist Women” meet at 1:30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month from September through December and the first Tuesday of March.

“Baptist Women” encourages mission projects, sets and promotes three specific missions offerings: Dixie Jackson State Missions, Annie Armstrong National Missions and Lottie Moon International Missions.

Each month “Baptist Women” select one particular mission ministry and does work for that ministry. Some of the mission ministries include God’s Provision Clothes Closet, the local food pantry, Operation Christmas Child, Arkansas Children’s Home, and many more.

“Caring Touch” quilting group meets at 1:oo pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month September through May in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church. The members of this group stitch all sizes of quilts, from baby to king size. They also stitch other items like place mats, Bible carriers and more. These items are donated to such ministries as Promise House in Little Rock, AR, Concepts of Truth in Wynne, AR, and others.

Once each year “Caring Touch” holds a quilt show and sells quilted items. Portions of the proceeds go to various missions.
